Geschiedenis Joppe Voorkiemsysteem 1989

development from practice

1988
The start

In 1988, contact was established with Kleinschmidt Handelmaatschappij in Rotterdam. The pre-sprouting bags were developed in collaboration. Although there was still room for improvement, the pre-sprouting results were good.

1996
From DIY welding to professional pre-sprouting racks

In the early years, farmers and mechanisation companies made the pre-sprouting racks based on a working drawing.
In 1996, the collaboration with WIFO Anema BV in Ferwert, Friesland, began. Thanks to WIFO’s knowledge and experience, the Joppe pre-germination system became suitable for large-scale use.

1997
Development of the rain cover and narrow pre-sprouting bag

In 1997, Kleinschmidt was acquired by TradeMax Wolf from Veghel. TradeMax also brought about a quality improvement. The pre-sprouting bags were fitted with a rain cover and a narrower model was developed for sizes 35-50 mm.

2010
Increase in scale

The increase in scale on farms continues. New barns are getting taller and the doors wider. Joppe’s pre-sprouting rack system responds to this trend.
In collaboration with WIFO Anema BV, a new model, Sprinter, was designed in 2010. This pre-sprouting rack can be stacked three high in the barn.

2020
VSS Machinebouw BV becomes new supplier of pre-sprouting racks

WIFO concluded that the production of pre-sprouting racks was no longer compatible with the increasing production of its own products. After careful consideration, the production of pre-sprouting racks was continued by VSS Machinebouw BV in Oudelande (the Netherlands). VSS has implemented various improvements.

The Sprinter2 pre-sprouting racks are now assembled and delivered directly to customers. The pre-sprouting racks are made on the welding robot. VSS kiemrekken aan kabelbaanThe welded pre-sprouting racks are transported via a cableway to the spray shop and assembly.
